世界で起こっている水の問題についての本です。

水ジャーナリストである橋本淳司さんが書かれた、

世界で起こっている６０の水問題について、テキストを元に、６０枚のイラストを描いています。

たくさんの世代の人に読んでもらえる、手に取りやすい本にしたいという橋本さんのご意向により、

１見開きに１つの問題とイラスト、という形式の本になりました。

私自身は、この本に載っている水の問題については、ほとんど知りませんでした。

島国の日本では、水が貴重だと感じにくいと思います。

水がほとんどない場所が世界では、あると知りながら、毎日お風呂に入る生活をしている人も多いと思います。

何に水が使われていて、どれだけ淡水が貴重な資源であるか、私たちはどのように使っていけばいいのかを考えるきっかけになる本だと思います。

多くの人に読んでいただきたい本です。

This book is about water problems around the world.

Texts were written by Junya Hashimoto who is a journalist.

60 publications of him talking about water problems inspired me to make 60 illustrations.

The author wanted to create a simple book for beginner from different generation. Accordingly, a facing page has a short text with an illustration.

There is a description about the short text on the bottom of the page. All illustrations were finished in 3 months.

This book would give you the chance to think how important fresh water as natural resources is and how we should use fresh water better.

I wish many people read this book.
